This incredible year is drawing to a close, another cycle of growth commencing in a mere matter of weeks. I’ve been taking time to reflect on all the earth-shattering, impactful successes I’ve been privileged to witness in the lives of those I reach through my work + coaching!

I will say an especially consistent theme I’ve observed with my Sparkle System students, loved ones, even myself has been the transformational act of SELF-LOVE!

What IS self-love? It’s a deep state of appreciation of oneself, able to look past all the hardships or obstacles to see power and capability within. It’s become so difficult to practice being that this world is so full of judgment indicative of societal standards that define the “ideal” way of life.

I’ll admit, I used to cater to the same beliefs when climbing the corporate ladder as an EA. Unfortunately, it took me the better portion of a decade to see how it hindered so much of my talent as a natural leader and healer.

MY discovery of self-love came with unlearning the dictating definition of “success” to articulate my own. Nurturing my own beliefs with gracious, gentle self-appreciation helped me to see that I had the power to achieve whatever I deemed excellent or successful.

And then… the world brightened up like never before.

Practicing self-love encompasses a vast array of beautiful, empowering approaches. All in all, it helps us to illuminate how we can align our needs with our faith in the Universe to bring forth the opportunities we know we deserve- AND want.

And believe it or not, self-love is rooted in one of our most integrated yet essential life skills: communication. Our communication, with ourselves or others, is a direct reflection of our embodied love and confidence.

An integral concept and mantra I implement in my Sparkle System Coaching Certification + Six Figure Business School is “Perception is Projection”. If we speak something limiting or negative out into the Universe, chances are it’s directly reflective of an inner belief we’ve built to keep ourselves confined to our zone of familiarity.

How can you expect strictly positive or empowering interactions with your external reality if you don’t invest in a positive relationship with yourself?

So, what can you do to nourish your communication overall? By expanding your awareness to invest energy into better self-talk.

It’s easy to fall into a self-narrative full of rationalizations for your decisions or big dreams; it’s even easier to negatively talk yourself OUT of what it is you want most. I’m sure many of you have caught yourself thinking about a goal or something you desire, then find ALL the reasons why you don’t believe you deserve or need that tangible outcome.

Let me be the one to tell you this: you ARE deserving, certainly able to achieve all you desire. The Universe will give you what you seek once it recognizes your willingness to broaden your self-perspective to discover (and embrace) what you’re gifted with.

When consciously unlearning negative self-talk, a good starting point is to CONFRONT the negativity! Thought-catching is a helpful tool I’ve utilized myself- I’ve even covered it in another blog post for self-forgiveness! Consciously addressing or externalizing your stinkin-thinkin is how you can directly pinpoint WHY or HOW the belief is untrue in your reality.

Eradicating the negative filter in your communication will only create more space to welcome inner + outer growth. Once you articulate how you DO want to feel in life, you’re diverting your powerful focus towards more uplifting experiences- this inherently raises your internal frequencies!

It’s essential to declare what you do want out of life, especially in terms of how you desire to view yourself. Being “at cause”, or reclaiming your power over the meaning in life, is an enlightening yet rejuvenating start to bettering your communication.

Sir Edmund Hillary once said, “it is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves”. Any mountain standing in front of you with a looming shadow covering all that lies ahead- it’s just a barrier between you and what you’re destined to acquire. Conquering the mountain isn’t just about the challenge- it’s more so what you learn about YOURSELF that pushed you to overcome the obstacle.

Take the final weeks of 2021 to hone in on your self-talk, especially all the ways it influences your everyday life. What thoughts do you have now that don’t serve your purpose or passions? Write them down, negate their validity in your reality, and see what arises.

There are opportunities for a prosperous life waiting for you out in the big beautiful Universe- all you have to do is start letting yourself believe you are worthy of them.
