I muted my mentor… and here’s why:

Early on in my journey, I wasn’t always grateful for the little things I had. I thought I knew it all, thought I had it allll figured out.

I was binging the videos, going through the training modules, and attending every single call.

In reality… I was looking for an easy way out.
I subliminally resisted the REAL, productive work
I mistook the completion of these tasks for real LEARNING.

One day, I was casually scrolling through Instagram; someone I genuinely looked up to popped onto my feed. They were basking in their big-money moves, enthusiastically sharing the true impact they were able to create.

I remember reflecting in my seat thinking: “WTF, I’m doing all the same things- why can’t I do that? Why am I not achieving the same amount of success?”

I knew deep down I desired that same level of accomplishment, so what did I do?

I muted them out of my Instagram feed.

I’ll be honest, it was purely out of envy.

I thought I had to do what they were doing to achieve the same caliber of impact, which was extremely triggering for me. Feeling triggered by other people’s success was evidently me craving success I didn’t have yet. Not only that, I was projecting it onto other people rather than reflecting on what I actually needed to invest my energy in.

Experiencing that deep jealousy when I looked at other people’s lives perpetuated an extremely hindering scarcity mindset. I didn’t have what I truly was looking for, which fueled my insecurity and led to a very negative cycle of ungratefulness.

It wasn’t until the inner work that I realized there was a crucial shift necessary to unlock the dream life I craved. I needed to start operating from a mindset of feeling grateful for what I already had in my life! Balancing the feeling of content with my life, but also knowing I deserved more, is how I created space to welcome in REAL growth.

Shifting the direction of my focus to be more optimistic yet assertive in my standards is how I FINALLY got more out of my life. And by more, I mean I created that dreamy inherent self-value, self-love, and abundance. That abundance flourished into a healthy life and mind, which strengthened my ability to create even MORE gratitude!

That essential shift inward sparked my creativity like never before; I finally got the fervor to build a life + coaching biz aligned with my value as a human being.

I healed from that negative, detrimental scarcity mindset cycle because I took responsibility for my approach to life. And that’s what made all the amazing difference!

It took that very important conscious adjustment towards self-validation of my greatest passions to see it has absolutely nothing to do with the outside. Your external reality isn’t who controls your value- it’s your own self.

If you’re experiencing a deeply rooted scarcity mindset, it’s okay. I implore you to start reflecting on what you have currently to be grateful for. Creating that self-abundance is how you’ll activate all you want to see occur in your desired reality.

I truly believe that when the Universe recognizes your gratefulness, it gives you more.

Tap into that universal abundance, operate from a mindset of gratitude- and you’ll receive all that you desire.
