It’s never too late to make a change. I would know; I did it at age 31.

I remember when my grandma told me she was driving for Uber. My instantaneous thought was, “WOW! She is such a freaking rock star!” because, well, she is. She’s absolutely fabulous at whatever she sets her mind to!

Soon after, I panicked. She got me to reflect on what I wanted to be doing later in my life- it certainly wasn’t Uber driving. I would rather bask in the sun of Florida or the Bahamas, taking explorative cruises around the world on a private Yacht…

What was so scary about that, you ask? The strong sun? Getting seasick on the boat? The unpredictability of it all? Of course not!

The possibility of one day waking up, age 85, coming to the shattering realization that I never tried turning my dreams into reality- was daunting. I imagined never really living, never following that inner voice urging me I could do more, never discovering all the ways I could make an impact…

We are so fortunate to be experiencing this beautiful age of unique, flourishing online businesses! Unfortunately for my sweet grandmother Babs, this was an outlet unavailable for much of her life… she definitely would’ve taken advantage of this resource had she been given the access!

I remember a time where I didn’t believe that these new avenues were an option for me either.

For years upon years, I slumped at my day job fantasizing about the day I would be running the show. I imagined myself as a motivational speaker, a writer, NY Times bestseller, Youtuber, Podcaster- you get the idea! I just wanted to create a community that brought endless, uplifting impact to EVERYONE.

The longer I reflected, the clearer the core issue became. I was facing this grim conflict; the prospect of success through these dreams sounded so appealing, yet I was already in my 30s and still hadn’t figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up. Kinda crazy, right?

To be honest, I avoided that unnerving thought because I didn’t really know myself. The unfamiliarity with my core self was a really scary revelation… I remained in the 24/7 support role for so long I really lost my drive to figure out what I REALLY wanted to be.

Looking back on that time in my life, it’s much easier to notice the toxic comfortability I was caught up in; my corporate life gave me the great money that kept me settled yet unable to pay necessary attention to what I myself actually needed out of life!

Wasting my days in my office drained my spirit, yet I continued to fantasize about the very day I’d break free out of that corporate cage. All I truly wanted to do was help women much like myself align their goals with their soul’s purpose. I wanted to reach those who felt stuck, to find those women feeling trapped and lost. The struggle was so REAL because I had no idea how to help anyone else knowing I couldn’t even help myself.

And then it freaking happened! I finally understood what I needed to do to break free from the chains of monotony. Settling for my current reality, sitting at my desk & scrolling through LinkedIn job boards was NOT the answer.

I always imagined a life of freedom, of change, of something that inspired me every day. That was definitely not going to be hidden on the other end of a LinkedIn “confidential role” with a recruiter… I’ve been there, done that!

This freedom came with breaking the conventional standards of success, creating my own definition of what that was, and ascertaining all the exciting ways I could embody my desired excellence.

I stumbled upon this quote “What would you do if the answer was YES? What would that make possible?”. My answer? Um- EVERYTHING! I took that mentality and freaking SPRINTED with it!

Gaining the courage to make a change, to finally follow my dreams was when my life altered completely! I took all the suggestions given to me knowing there was something destined for me out there. Once I started to act as if I already had all the amazing things I was dreaming of- that was when the opportunities flowed in.

All of this empowering identity work allowed me to leave my corporate role & scale to $10k, $25k, $50k months. This immersive work has allowed many of my clients to hit 1 month goals in 4 days, 2 month goals in 10 days, make more money in one month than they did in a whole year… What would that success do for you? What would that make possible?

If you don’t decide to start following those dreams, you’ll be sitting in the same spot you settled for wondering the same thoughts at 85 years old.

I’m here to tell you that all of this is possible for you. I recognize that fear of the unknown when you’re too stuck to leave something no longer serving you. Being given the power to create a life aligned with who you are, who you want to be, is probably intimidating. That’s okay; there are infinite NEW possibilities for you to discover. How exciting!

And let me tell you a little secret: all that power you’re looking for? It’s already inside of you!

You just have to defeat the fears that barricade you inside your comfort zone.

Imagine what’s possible once you step outside of it…

I did, and I enthusiastically invite you to do the same.
