To be honest with you, It’s not just the destination that matters. The journey is just as, if not more, important to your inner + outer growth.
Have you ever heard the phrase “success is a journey?” Did it resonate?
If not, no worries! Allow me to break it down for you:
Big goals are daunting, truly intimidating AF at times. However, those BIG dreams we desire challenge us to breach the confines of our ego-constructed zone of comfort. While the comfort zone is designed to keep you safe from situations of misalignment, it also holds you complacent.
It’s easy for us to get caught up in the magnificence of the entire goal we concoct in our mind, so easy in fact it distracts us from the deep inner work required to get there.
When I teach the science behind the Law of Attraction for manifestation in my Sparkle System Coaching Certification + Six Figure Business School, I encourage the dreamy larger-than-life goal setting because I want my students to discover new standards for life experience.
I believe it’s super important for peak spiritual, emotional, mental, even physical growth to go beyond familiarity in order to maximize our perspective. This is one (of the many) ways we can better connect with the Higher versions of ourselves waiting for us in the wings.
Unlike the destination harboring our achieved goals, the journey encompasses a variety of opportunities to strengthen our values and beliefs. A journey includes the ups, downs, learnings, and relearning we need to uncover our true selves, thus eradicating things no longer serving us. This occurs when we confront limiting beliefs, learn to become “at cause” for the results we desire, and shift our focus to articulate fresh means of being who we are meant to be.
The journey is designed to embolden human vulnerability. By challenging our consciousness to expand its breadth, it helps us strip the lens of everything we’ve ever consciously learned or practiced. Subsequently, this illuminates two things: what we deserve AND what we are really capable of.
It’s not just about the big final win, but the cultivation of individual, unique smaller wins. And what would our wholeness be without the sum of our equally powerful parts?
When I was coming to terms with my dire need to leave my corporate job, I was paralyzed by my fear of the unknown. I knew my passion was to help other women, yet I only centered my focus on becoming a multi-faceted figure of inspiration for those women. How could I be that person if I was resistant to the legitimate work I had to do for myself to be that magnetic leader and healer?
It wasn’t until I woke up every day with a newfound fervor to learn more about myself that I started to see the results. When I took the journey day by day, I was able to be present for the confrontations I needed to face within.
The Universe will give us the inspiration we seek when we establish, and actively commit to HOLDING, space for inner growth. Our vibrations attract experiences with similar frequencies, so it’s entirely within our power to attract whatever we freaking want!
Doing is often more essential to our metamorphoses than dreaming. Believe me, you’ll receive so much more out of getting your goals when you open your perspective to the other learnings hidden in the obstacles.
