INCOMINGGGGGG- a MAJOR truth bomb below!!!!

There’s no such thing as perfection. It’s time you give it up babes.

Why? Perfection is an ideal concept we’ve established based upon a collection of standards. We’ve been conditioned to try and exceed unrealistic expectations and for what, approval? Let’s be real here, a lot of them don’t take into account the spectrum of unique traits that humans can possess!

If you’ve ever fallen victim to the brutality inflicted by the appeal of flawlessness, it DEFINITELY isn’t your fault. I think a great way to gauge whether or not you’re conforming to this idea is asking yourself: Am I striving for MY standard of excellence, or am I obsessing over perfection?

I believe that unlearning perfectionism comes with choosing faith over fear. When you actively decide to have trust in the opportunities you’re given in life, you’re holding space for that bountiful growth. You ALWAYS have a choice when it comes to embodying your uncomfortability, morphing it into something that reinvigorates your values at the identity level!

The moment I chose to embark on my coaching journey was absolutely FREAKY for me. I just submitted my payment and nearly threw up from the overwhelm of making the investment to CHANGE MY LIFE. I never really followed through or stayed consistent with anything- but I yearned to get myself out of the corporate world that made me miserable.

A week later, I let my fear consume me and requested a refund. I was scared of not only changing everything about my current reality, but the unpredictability of what my life was going to become. I think the Universe was challenging me to break my limiting beliefs, because I coincidentally missed the refund deadline. So, I faced my discomfort head on to see what I could learn from this experience. And OMG did it teach me sooo much!

There are two types of uncomfortability: uncomfortability in the present and uncomfortability in the unknown. You can encounter them individually or simultaneously.

I’m sure you’ve experienced being on the fence before, constricted by fright to make a decision about your current situation. Don’t you want to lead a life that epitomizes the inspiring legacy you’ll leave behind for those wanting to learn from your wealth of knowledge? But you’re so just so damn SCARED of leaving everything you’ve become accustomed to? Believe me honey, I have BEEN THERE.

On the other side of the spectrum, there’s uncomfortability in taking the FIRST monumental step into the unknown. You don’t know what lies out there, waiting for you and all your dreams. There’s something scary about the unknown, isn’t there?

However, the world outside your comfort zone is such a boundless, magical place- so I invite you to use 2022 as a time + space to experiment with that MAGIC of the unfamiliar.

Back in 2016, long before I even began my coaching journey, I wanted to make a change in my overall health. I was ready to challenge my body and fuel it in such a way I could take on any adventure or part of my day. Well, I was hauling my ass out of bed at 5 AM; for the first phase of this journey, I was constantly tired from the early morning adjustment.

BUT- the more I showed up, the more committed I was to MYSELF. I was so eager to seek transformation on an identity level that it reinvigorated me each time I went to a hot yoga class or completed a Peloton workout. Now, I’m happily strutting into my gym for a 5 AM gym sesh in my favorite Lululemon Align leggings, ready to take on the freaking WORLD with my strength + power.

You can’t have the ass without working on your squats, right?!?! Consistency and commitment to the vision is what will carry you through all the opportunities to reach your goal(s).

You KNOW who you want to be- a magnetic human who is unapologetically herself and so undeniably happy with how she shows up to EACH area of her amazing life. It’s up to you to choose what discomfort you want to experience: uncomfortability that results in GROWTH, or discomfort in complacency.

If you’re ready to shake things up and unlearn all those icky expectations of perfectionism, I have some wonderful prompts for you to use on your journey in my free Facebook community- you can check them out here!
