I’m so FREAKING excited…we have a WALKER on our hands!!!
That’s right, my sweet angel baby Julian is officially walking on his own!
It feels like yesterday I was watching him learn to roll during tummy time, try to sit up on his own, + crawl his way around…
It’s been an absolutely magical chapter of Julian’s life to experience + observe as his mama. Watching him stick his arms out in front of him, waddling with such alert excitement with this newfound movement is fascinating. I’ll admit, it’s also VERY entertaining. I just love seeing the light take over his face with his cheeky little grin, thinking “look at me mommy!!! WTF am I doing!!!!!”
Things are about to get a whole lot more chaotic over here… but I am ecstatic 😭😂
Observing my child take on his world with such determination + enthusiasm has me reflecting… babies are just some of the most determined beings on this planet. Wouldn’t you agree?
Seriously, think about it. They spend a better portion of their first year to two years on this planet trying their best to navigate the most fundamental of behaviors we take for granted every day. Even when they fall and stumble and lose their balance, they just keep getting up to try it alllll over again. When Julian was first learning to stand or walk, he latched onto anything his little hands could grab for support!
They’re just so RESOURCEFUL. And they just KEEP. FREAKIN. GOING.
And I truly believe there’s something to take away from these tiny tikes.
